So I have a project to do

May 26, 2009

Yes, I have to take a series of photos for photography (subject which I study at school) with themed ‘the ephemeral’ or ‘the temporal’ (idea that nothing lasts forever, that there is growth, decay, change and transformation), would anyone like to give suggestions, ideas or inspirations on this ;D?

PS I’ll be using SLR camera and developing in black and white (have access to dark room) and I am not very skilled. THANKS GUYS. I’m hoping a certain photography addict replies to this 8D!

  2. OH MY LORD IM SORRY I JUST SAW WENDY’S TWITTER MSG.

DIDN’T EVEN KNOW YOU GUYS STILL BLOGGED HERE- MAAAAAD.

make a whole new blog post answering my questions and i’ll reply to that blog because i cbb opening msn up.

    1. what camera?
    2. how many images in the series?
    3. any restrictions besides the theme?
    4. when you’re developing the photos – are you going to be cross-processing or push-processing?
    5. BRAINSTORMING TIME

growth – nature, human growth (kids n shit), emotional growth
    contrast of growth/decay
change – i do not want to think about this too much of this shit @ school already

the easiest i can think of is the weather. you could take a picture of the lifespan of a leaf. rain, dew, sunshine, withered and dead. anything with nature pretty much is the easiest with growth, decay, change, transformation. weather is the most temperamental thing.

i think you could do soemthing with the same setting, just different. sorry about my crap explaining skills.

Eg. same city scene, different times of day. are you allowed to do a time-lapse photo?
